I wrote a book!

For years, Star Trek: The Animated Series (TAS) didn’t receive the respect it deserved, often dismissed as a lesser continuation of the original series. Despite being an Emmy-winning show that expanded the Trek universe with new alien worlds, advanced technology, and complex stories, TAS was sidelined by many fans and critics. However, modern Trek series like Lower Decks openly reference and celebrate its unique contributions. With this newfound recognition, TAS is finally being appreciated for the innovative and imaginative role it played in the Star Trek franchise’s evolution.

In 2019 Weldon Owen/Simon & Schuster released Star Trek: The Official Guide to The Animated Series. Co-Written and designed by me!

My partner, Rich Schepis, and I pitched the first-ever guide to Star Trek: The Animated Series (TAS), aiming to offer fans behind-the-scenes production documents, never-before-seen art, and new interviews with those who brought the Enterprise’s animated adventures to life across 22 episodes over two seasons.

In an unusual turn, CBS sold the book to Weldon-Owen within a month, partly due to our detailed mockups, which they said were rare from authors. The book debuted at #1 on Amazon’s Hot New Releases and currently holds a 4.8 out of 5-star rating.
