In-N-Out Burger is a popular West Coast fast-food chain known for its fresh, simple menu of burgers, fries, and shakes. It was founded in 1948 by Harry and Esther Snyder in Baldwin Park, California, with the goal of serving high-quality food made to order. Back then, it was California’s first drive-thru hamburger stand, using a two-way speaker system to speed up service—a big deal at the time! Today, In-N-Out remains a family-owned business, still famous for its commitment to fresh ingredients, never-frozen beef, and a famously “secret” menu. The chain has grown slowly but steadily, now with hundreds of locations in several western states, and it has a devoted fan base that sees it as more than just a fast-food spot—it’s practically a cultural icon.

I’ve worked with In-N-Out for over 15 years, and during that time, I’ve had the opportunity to help shape their digital and visual identity. One of my proudest projects was designing their first mobile app, which marked a major step in their digital presence (and also had a fun ‘shake to reveal the Secret Menu’ feature). Since then, I’ve worked on a variety of projects, including the website, several event-specific websites, and logos. It’s been incredibly rewarding to grow with the company and contribute to its success in a meaningful way.
